As my understanding of the Party gradually deepened, my eagerness to join the party organization as soon as possible became stronger and stronger, and it was a touching moment from an old community party member I interviewed before that prompted me to submit my application for joining the Party.

Summer went to Huanglongxi 4 group for an interview, heard people say, whenever the sunset, always see an old man with gray hair slowly pushing the wheelchair, the wheelchair is sitting on his wife, see the old couple accompanied by each other, the villagers can not help but thumb up for them.

Later, I learned that the old man's name is Pan Zhengyou, born in 1924, now 94 years old. Once braved a hail of bullets to defend the country, as a volunteer to participate in the Korean War, with their own flesh and blood to defend the motherland's steel Great Wall.

Astonishingly, Grandpa Pan still vividly remembers the solemn moment he joined the Communist Party of China. On February 22, 1956, in the humble Party meeting room of Huanglong Community, Grandpa Pan stood under the solemn Party flag and raised his right fist to solemnly swear to the party flag: 

Even though he has entered the age of 80, Grandpa Pan, who has more than 60 years of party experience, has not forgotten his oath to join the Party, and "fighting for communism for life" has become Grandpa Pan's "life beacon", which has been integrated into his practical actions and into his blood.

Grandpa Pan's home is about 10 miles from Huanglong Community. To attend various meetings of the Party organization on time, everyone will say that this is the most basic obligation and responsibility of a party member; But for a 90-year-old old man, who can't ride a bike or drive a car, every time he attends a meeting, he has to walk 10 miles to attend the meeting, and then walk home after the meeting, which is 20 miles again and again. Regardless of wind and rain or cold and heat, Grandpa Pan always found a way to attend the meeting early every time, never late or leave early.

On the day of the interview, I saw Grandpa Pan stumbling into the meeting room of the party members, listening carefully and remembering the contents of the meeting, and my heart came up with a sense of admiration. Once the aspiring young man, now the white-haired old man. A cloth, the heart has a conscience unpolished jade, the words have things, the line has a pattern, poor, not surprised, this is the quality of a generation of old party members.

Several times asked Grandpa Pan, you are so old and inconvenient to move, even if you do not come to the party meeting, it is understandable, but the old man always smiled and shook his head. The old man had not read a book and did not speak much. When asked why he joined the Communist Party of China, the old man's answer was only a short sentence, "Because I am a Communist Party member."

"Because I am a member of the Communist Party" is such a sentence that completely hit my heart. It is Grandpa Pan this sentence inspired me, the original party members in the face of difficult problems, is dare to dare to try, dare to be the first; In the face of conflicts, we should dare to grasp and manage, and dare to confront difficulties; In the face of risk, will dare to act boldly, dare to take responsibility.

This is my initial intention to join the Party, starting from the details, tough in knowledge and practice, and firm in faith. Do not forget the original heart, the party has always been, as a probationary party member, the practice of tempering the character of the party and tempering the skills of the people has just begun, reaching their own work, conforming standards, and improving comprehensive prime ability, in order to contribute more and stronger strength to achieve the "two hundred years" goal, and burn their youth for the realization of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation!
